2ne1:The Party

I've already told you guys about my K-pop/K-drama addiction.I've started collecting Cds and Dvds  and some fan stuff. Before I didn't know where to look for those, only in Ebay and Multiply. Even in malls, they have very limited options for fangirls like me.Then I found out ( from a certain Ebay seller) that sometimes there K-events around the Metro.I asked and asked, then I was told that every time there's gonna be a concert  (a Korean artist ,or any Asian pop artist for that matter), a K-fiesta is held right before the event. This got me all excited and giggle for days because we were going to attend 2ne1's concert,The Party.

So I didn't let the chance pass-by and I arrived at Araneta Coliseum about 2hrs before the concert. While I was in the cab I was giggling and can't stop smiling.Listening to SuJu music didn't help to calm me down either. When I got to the venue, the only emotion I felt was confusion.I thought I was in a college fair. There were troops and troops of college and HS girls everywhere I look.I suddenly felt old,an "ahjumma". :( Why didn't we have a K-pop/K-drama invasion back in my HS/college days?? (well, there was an F4 Fever but it wasn't like this)

Like what I've said, troops and troops of school girls

There were also a number of stalls selling K-pop merchs. Some are best buy, some are rip-off's,as expected.

And I'm so glad I  got a chance to buy these:

The SS1 cd+dvd was on sale at Php1200 only,pretty cheap.It usually sells at around Php1800 - Php2200.Best buy,right?While the Sorry,Sorry album was sold to me at Php300 (I think,I already forgot)
.The shoutouts were Php50 each.I've been looking for the Dvd of SuJu for the longest time.I wanted to see them perform ever since I saw their Bonamana MV.Suju did not disappoint me.I love watching their Dvd concert.

And now, let's go to the nail polish part.It was the first concert I've gone to and I wanted wear something  vibrant,a color that screams "POP!" I was choosing between CG Reggae to Riches and
Icing Neon Yellow ( that's the actual color,I just gave it a name.it didn't have a name neither on the bottle nor the packaging)

China Glaze Reggae to Riches

Icing neon yellow (pre-clean up)

I've never worn a neon nail polish before so I thought this would be the perfect event to wear one.I wore Icing to the 2ne1 concert/not-2ne1-concert and I loved it!

My ring finger has a matte top coat here,I thought it was cool but I changed my mind.It looked better as a glossy nail polish.

I loved how it looked on my nails.I'd occasionally stare at them and I wore the color for a week.I didn't clean it up before the application because I ran out of time but it turned out ok.It wasn't that obvious naman na messy. And I think it actually complements my complexion, don't you think?

MAC Quite Cute

Yesterday I was in Glorietta and I passed by the MAC counter hoping this time they would have new nail poish bottles.Since I started my nail polish addiction last year,I would pass by that place to buy a bottle or two.I've read good reviews about their nail polish formula and the colors themselves.Unfortunately, I think the MAC fairy doesn't like me, I've never had a chance to buy a bottle. They always only have the nude colors. The colors that I like are NEVER available.I was hoping yesterday that I'd get my hands on the Quite Cute collection. But nope, the MAC fairy decided that I'm not worthy. :( I asked the sales assistant if they'll have new bottles arriving soon or if their other branches still have them. She said,"WALA NA PO TALAGA.WALA NA PONG DARATING" (Their already out of stock. We won't be replenishing them.Even with our other branches). And just like that, I felt my heart crack.I tested all three of them and my heart cracked some more. :(

K-fever!

I couldn't remember when it all started but I know that my K-fever started with Boys Over Flowers. I didn't get to watch it while it was airing on ABS CBN because I already saw Meteor Garden and eventhough I loved it, I was pretty sure it  has the same story and all.My best friend was watching it on DVD,then I got hooked!I watched the whole series in just 2 days.I felt like I was part of the story and I was the lead girl.LOL.seriously.It was a weekend of kilig and fantasy.A couple of months after, the BOF fever had died down.I stopped using their pictures as my wallpaper.I stopped researching about the uber-cute actors.Back to my normal life.

And then I've accidentally discovered this series on cable. It was about a girl caught in the middle between her father's wishes to marry his old friend's son(who's rich and will pay all their debt) and a love developed overtime with an independent rock band leader that started by pretending that they are married. Its a simple sotyr line but its entertaining.I loved each of the characters. There's no bad guy/good guy. Its about living your life as much as you can and how to work around compromised situations in life. And of course, the kilig factor is at maximum!hehehe...Just like that,my K-fever is hotter than ever!I started listening and researching on Korean boy bands and K-pop.50% of the songs on my Ipod now is K-pop LOL.
Kang Mu Gyul (Jang Geun Suk) and Wi  Mary (Moon Geun Young)

This is one of my favorite scenes, this is when the three of them realized that its no longer a game pretensions for all three of them.

And here's two of my fave K-pop boy bands......2pm and Super Junior (I feel bad that I didn't know about Super Junior when they had a concert here before). I've also posted my fave video so far of Super Junior.Hope you'll like it too. :)

If there any of you out there who are also into the K-fever,leave me a message.I would love to know people who's into it,too. :)

P.S.

I am now preparing a trip to Korea and I'll be registering for a language class.Wish me luck! (^_^)

My current fave books

I saw the movie version last year and I didn't like it that much.It was just okay. Nothing special, nothing amazing about it. Just last month, I've decided to read the book series. I fell in love with it! The books shows the magical world of Mythology. The author made me feel that I am part of the hero's quest. Which is something that the producers of the movie failed to do.I am reading the second book now and I hope it won't disappoint.

This book is a continuation of the Percy Jackson book series but its about a different hero, Jason. This book offers more mystery and magic. Can't wait for the second book to come out. No news yet about that so far.

I'm currently into "anything Korean", especially drama and music. Its one of my guilty pleasures and I simply love it! It started about 2yrs ago when I started watching Boys Over Flowers. The boys are just gorgeous! I'd be a hypocrite if I'd say that my fantasy didn't include those boys and me being the leading lady.LOL. But it only lasted for a few months and only up to spending hours on the net to search for their pictures. My K-fever was revived last month when I accidentally watched a K-drama on KBS Global, Marry Me, Mary! was the title. It was just out of boredom and insomnia that I continued watching it. Then I got hooked. The story (for me) was cute and romantic. The main cast were so adorable! I will tell you more about my K-fever in the few days.

I'm here now about my new fave book, Popped! Its written by a local author and its about four girl BFFs that   were all into K-pop. The sisterhood was unexpected. They had different traits and personalities. But their love for K-pop brought them together and in the end, they've created a bond that helped each of them make their wildest dreams come true. A bond that's non-judgmental and brought the best out of each of them. Its a fun and romantic read.It made me realize my "2nd life dream",to go to Korea and to have my own adventure! I wish I have a friend or someone to share my K-fever though. That would be more fun. Now,I'm hoping I'd be able to create bonds lie that along the way.I definitely recommend that you read this book!

Paper Cuts book launch

After a month of being quiet, I apologize for just posting again just now. The good 'ole bad habit of "katamaran" struck me again and depression came along too.hahaha...anyway,I'm back and please send me good vibes.

You all know my story about being an ex-nail-biter and that its only been recently that I had a change of heart. It was about 3rd quarter of last year that I had the urge to suddenly get nail extensions. A few days after, I've chanced upon an article in a newspaper about the author's obsession with nail polish. She made it sound to me that its something that even me can enjoy. I've always had really . . . really short fingernails and they were not just short but they were crooked and had ridges. I felt ashamed if someone would see them and its not good to have so many insecurities, right? So,the same day, after my shift. I went straight to SM Makati and bought 3 or 4 bottles of nail polish. The author of the article I read had a blog and I checked it out. I had fun reading her blog and she inspired me. She was an ex-nail-biter too so I guess I was able to relate myself to her posts. Her name's Pam Pastor and I love her! She launched her first book last January 28 and of course I didn't pass the chance to see her in person.

My two friends who accompanied me to the book launch Pat and Iris, who blackmailed me to buy them a copy of the book.hehehe...Love u guys!
